BOMA MID-ATLANTIC CONFERENCE |
MAC BOARD OF DIRECTORSThe BOMA Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC), part of BOMA International, represents 11 BOMA Locals across the Northeast. The MAC exists to provide a bridge between BOMA International and BOMA Locals, foster networking and education amongst real estate professionals in the region, amplify the voice of BOMA Locals and their members, and recognize property management excellence with the Regional TOBY Awards. There are 3 parts to the MAC Board of Directors: The Executive Committee, Committee Chairs & International Committee Representatives, and BOMA Local Representatives, that include Local Leadership and Association Executives. The MAC is a tax exempt corporation under Section 501(c) (6) of the Internal Revenue Code. In connection with MAC's governance and bylaws, the Board of Directors has ultimate responsibility for the organization. As Directors, the Board has fiduciary responsibility for MAC. Fiduciary responsibility involves a duty to act for the good of others. Because MAC exists for the members' benefit, its Board exists to function as the guardian or steward to safeguard the members' interest. Put simply, first and foremost, the Board safeguards MAC's mission. |
